Our beloved Sanyo VCR, with us since our first apartment almost 13 years ago, has up and died on us. In looking for a replacement, I have become filled with rage. I would love to get a Sony to match the rest of my home theater system, but of course now they don’t come in FRICKIN’ BLACK. Now they only come in silver to match their $3,000 HDTV’s, so either I have to buy in silver and have a dorky looking stack of equipment that doesn’t match, or I have to go find myself a standard 17″ width made by someone else so my existing remote won’t work. < p>If anyone has suggestions for a good VCR, I’d like it. But our Sanyo spoiled us… 19-micron heads before they became popular, Hi-Fi with auto tracking, etc. Thanks to my friend Chris, who did all the comparison shopping and just told me what to buy in 1991. Oh, and he also sent me a link to this, which really lightened up an otherwise pretty pathetic loser of a Friday. |
