A while ago, I wrote a bit about tracking down a sham “charity” that was soliciting donations for support-worthy causes like disabled firefighters and homeless veterans. I was contacted a few months back by a reporter about my dealings with this charity, but somehow with the vagaries of time differences, email, and schedule conflicts, we never connected up.
