A while ago, I wrote a bit about tracking down a sham “charity” that was soliciting donations for support-worthy causes like disabled firefighters and homeless veterans. I was contacted a few months back by a reporter about my dealings with this charity, but somehow with the vagaries of time differences, email, and schedule conflicts, we never connected up. Read with much interest, considering my wife is from Gig Harbor and her parents still live there. It’s a quaint area and it’s a shame this story originates there.
