Ninja munchkins infiltrate the zoological gardens.

On Saturday, we met up with my dad and stepmother, and took the kids to the National Zoo. It was my first trip there in over 25 years, and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. The last zoological exhibit I visited was the Monterey Bay Aquarium in 1999. Evie wasn’t sure she liked it until after lunch, at which point she warmed up quite a bit. It’s tough enjoying a walk when you’re hungry!

We saw about half the exhibits, which was pretty commendable since we didn’t get there until a quarter of eleven. Among other affable animals we ran into were the lazy pandas…

…the lazy tigers…

…the lazy lions…

…and a lazy cheetah.

It was a good day for sleeping at the zoo apparently.
