We can build it better, faster, stronger.

Got a new Hitachi 250 GB drive for my T60 this week, and I installed it today before I left the office. Nice to see that it took about 10 minutes to install the distro, about 15 minutes more to get all my other packages and updates reinstalled, and a partly concurrent 45 minutes or so to restore all my user data. I probably could have cut the restore time in half, but all I had handy was a USB hard disk, and I didn’t bother to prune or jettison anything before the surgery.

I was worried that I had overcommitted this weekend, and then found that VFudCON has slipped to next week. The good news is that it looks like our supafly admin team is going to have SIP hotness ready to go. You guys KICK ASS. And I want to also thank and shout to my friend Jared (his site may be experiencing some problems this evening) for helping give some steam to this idea.
